Relative Strength Index compares the size of recent gains to recent losses over 14 sessions, on a 0–100 scale. It measures how one-sided the recent move has been — not whether a company is cheap or expensive.
At 43.9 it sits in the middle. Neither side has been dominant recently, which means this indicator is not telling you much right now — and saying so is more useful than inventing a signal.
RSI describes the recent past. It has no view on earnings, on the news, or on what happens next.
A “golden cross” is the day the 50-session average price rises above the 200-session average. It is shorthand for “the recent trend has turned up relative to the longer one”.
Right now the 50-day sits 8.8% above the 200-day (222.07 vs 204.14). They have not crossed in the year of history we hold, so this is a long-standing posture rather than a fresh event — which is the opposite of how the phrase usually gets used.
Both averages are built entirely from past prices, so the cross confirms a move that has already happened — it does not forecast one. The dramatic names are much older than the evidence for them, and neither is a reason on its own to do anything.
Tap any tile for what it measures and what this reading says. These are arithmetic on past prices, not forecasts, and not a recommendation to buy or sell anything. They are here so you can see the same numbers we do.

**The take.** NVDA is down 1.25% today at $227.48, and the Atlas framework says this isn't really a war stock — but it's not fully insulated from the war either. This is a company whose fate is decided in Taiwan Strait odds (T6: 11%, MONITOR — the lowest-heat threshold on the whole board) and in whether Washington's chip export rules survive a tariff constitutional crisis (T10: 92%, ELEVATED). How far today’s price sits below the highest price of the last 12 months. A plain measure of where in its own range a stock is trading.
It is 11.5% below its 12-month high — off the peak, but within the range it has traded all year.
A 52-week high is an accident of the last 12 months, not a valuation. A stock can be at its high and cheap, or far below it and expensive.
Average daily volume over the last 20 sessions against the 40 sessions before that. It measures whether attention is building or fading, nothing else.
Volume is running at 0.84× the prior stretch — broadly normal for this name.
Volume is direction-blind. Heavy trading means conviction on both sides of the trade, not agreement.

Open calls are marked against today and can still go either way. The full record is on receipts and the misses on what we got wrong.
